剧情简介

   1942年，河南连年灾荒，难民们大规模逃荒到陕西，年仅十岁的郝玉兰跟随父亲也融入迁徙大军，在古城西安的小东门落下了脚。玉兰为生活所迫，嫁给了比她大二十岁、并已经有了两个孩子的白老四，后又共同生育了五个孩子。玉兰和她的七个孩子以及小东门的河南乡亲们相濡以沫，共同渡过了几十年的风风雨雨。
   无论生活多么艰苦，玉兰都充满希望地活着，她对自己许下了三个愿：让和蔼慈祥的二奶奶安享晚年；开一家河南风味餐馆，让父亲有用“武”之地；抚养孩子健康成长，个个过上好日子……随着时代的变迁和改革开放，玉兰的希望一个个成为现实。玉兰和他的老乡们都各自找到了自己的幸福。郝玉兰从当初那个逃荒而来的小姑娘变成了能够为家人、朋友撑起一片天空的大女人，岁月的磨砺也让她身上的母性光辉愈发的耀眼。儿女们由对她的不理解到深深地敬佩。是她，帮助大女婿长安的工厂度过危机；是她，时时记挂着漂泊在外的二女儿槐花；也是她，背着难产的小女儿牡丹去医院。最后，她选择与小儿子东京生活在一起，用余下的时光来弥补对儿子的亏欠。
